Glasgow city centre crash involving pedestrian and bus as man rushed to hospital

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital following a crash involving a bus on a Glasgow city centre road.

The incident happened at around 3.10pm this afternoon (Friday, January 20) on Union Street.

Emergency services sped to the scene shortly after and the male pedestrian was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The extent of his injuries is not currently known at this time.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: "Around 3.10pm on Friday 20 January 2023, police were made aware of a road crash involving a bus and a male pedestrian. Emergency services attended and the male has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Enquiries are ongoing."
