Glasgow chippy covered in edible gold with £80 price tag 'most expensive in UK'

There's nothing like a good chippy to satisfy a very specific craving, and Glasgow is lucky to have some brilliant options around the city.

But we'll wager none of us have ever ordered a fish supper that cost a whopping £80 - and was covered in 24 karat edible gold.

So Enzo's chippy in Crookston is certainly treading new ground with their new creation, which they're describing as the "UK’s most expensive fish and chips supper".

At a price of £79.99, all of the items are covered in the edible gold and include battered fish, sausage, chips, pickled onions and lemons.

But Enzo's has promised that the food doesn't just look luxurious and is every bit as delicious to eat.

Sharing their new creation on Instagram, the chippy said: "UK’s Most Expensive Golden Fish & Chips Supper covered with 24K Edible Gold. Love Exotic Food? You’ve to try this!!"

They add: "Who can say no to a luxurious meal?! Not me!! I’ve got a weakness for Crispy Chips and not to mention that Soft and Tender Fish!"
