A charity is set to open up a new service, offering support to homeless women in Glasgow.
The Simon Community Glasgow womens centre will be a dedicated space for women experiencing homelessness to visit and receive support and advice and will hopefully open in the second half of this year.
The charity currently offer support services at their hub on Argyle Street but decided there was a need for a safe environment exclusively for women.

Head of media communications for the Simon Community, Murray Easton, told Glasgow Live: "We do currently offer support services for everyone at our Argyle Street hub but there are a lot of women who won't attend because they have a fear of men, most likely through past experiences.
"This new service will be for women, by women. The programme of support which will be on offer has been designed by our workers as well as the women we are already helping so it really should be a safe space.
"It will also solely be ran by women, no men will work at the new centre."
The charity have so far managed to raise 60 per cent of the money needed to run the centre for three years, as they prefer to have a good chunk of funding behind them before going forward with new projects.
The new premises has also been secured, but needs some renovations in order to be fit for purpose. Volunteers and workers at the charity will be taking part in the upcoming Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise money to go towards the work needed in the premises.
The charity is also asking for members of the public taking part in the walk to think about raising funds for the Simon Community, to ensure they are able to get the centre up and running as quickly as possible.
