Glasgow charity shop selling off host of retro items used in 1970s thriller Borderland

Film buffs are in for a treat at after a host items from the set of Borderland were donated to a Glasgow charity shop.

Scenes for the thriller, set in the 70s, were shot in Glasgow, giving residents a glimpse into the past with retro buses, cars and costumes popping up throughout the city.

Now, movie fans can take home some of that history thanks to the generosity of the production team behind Borderland, who have donated a range of vintage goods to Shelter Scotland’s shop on Stockwell Street in the city centre.

The sale includes crockery, furniture, glassware, china, vinyl records and many more items that will appear in the upcoming Sky Original drama.

Shelter Scotland’s West of Scotland Area Manager, Alex Owens, said: “I’m delighted we’re able to offer up this exciting range straight from the set of Borderland. It’s such an excellent collection for both film fans and vintage aficionados alike.

“There really is something for everyone in this sale, from old school car magazines for the motoring enthusiast to beautiful decorations to give your home that little bit of retro flare.

“The crew have clearly taken great care to give their sets that authentic 70s look, lots of people will have seen the retro cars and buses in the city in the last few weeks, so this is your chance to take a bit of that home with you.

“All of the money from this sale will go directly towards helping Shelter Scotland carry out its mission to end homelessness, so we’re extremely grateful for this support.”
