Glasgow Central to East Kilbride train incident sparks CCTV appeal to trace man

British Transport Police are investigating an incident that occurred on board a train between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries into the incident, which took place on the 17:33 ScotRail service from Glasgow Central to East Kilbride on Thursday, December 16.

Officers believe that the male shown in the image may have information that could assist them and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

The male is described as white, aged around late 40's/ early 50's, tall, of slim build and with brown short hair, wearing a dark coloured jacket, dark blue jeans and carrying a dark coloured backpack.

British Transport Police can be contacted by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2100098044.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
