A Glasgow care worker took a picture of a sleeping resident and shared it on Snapchat for a laugh.
Kathleen McDonald failed to even apologise when her shameful actions came to light.
Care watchdog the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) heard took the photo when the resident was fast asleep and then shared it on the social media platform for her own "amusement".

A report published this week explained: "You took the image of a person who uses services while they slept, and then sent that image to a number of your associates. You did this without the knowledge or consent of the individual.
"You had no good reason and no authority to do this, and you took and distributed the image apparently for your own amusement, and that of your associates. You showed a blatant disregard for the privacy, dignity and well being of the service user and a lack of respect for the individual involved."
McDonald, who according to the SSSC is registered in Glasgow but was working for Aberdeen based Fairview House Care Home at the time, and failed to engage with them as they investigated the incident.
The report pointed out: "You have the privileged position of providing care to people who use services, and you should have been actively promoting their wellbeing, safety, and security. Instead, you chose to make fun of a person who uses services, without their knowledge. Your actions show a lack of respect for the individual involved and your behaviour is completely opposed to the values of any caring profession.
"Your behaviour reflects badly upon you, your employer, and the wider social services profession."
The SSSC also highlighted McDonald's failure to provide any insight, apology or regret for her action and put a two year warning on her record, pointing out that it appears to be an isolated incident.
