A Glasgow care home resident is set to celebrate her upcoming 101st birthday in the most 'young team' way possible - by being driven about the city on a party bus.
Edna Clayton, a resident at Hector House Care Home in Shawlands, will turn 101 years young on January 31, having sadly spent her 100th birthday alone at her home due to the covid lockdown.
To guarantee her forthcoming birthday 'is a special one', the care home put out an appeal for locals to send cards for Edna for her to open on her big day at the end of the month.

After spotting our story on the card appeal, party bus hire company Rockstar Party Bus got in touch with the care home to arrange a special surprise for her and a few of her fellow residents by way of a free hire to take them out on the bus.
The boogie bus, which is advertised as 'the ultimate night out', comes complete with a 10,000W state of the art sound system, lasers, LED lighting, a smoke machine, a champagne bar and a large screen TV.
Edna and her pals will also be able to upload a playlist of their favourite hits onto Youtube to play on the bus as it takes them on a wee trip round the city.
We hope they have a belter of a time.
