The opening of a £13.7 million bridge connecting three communities in north Glasgow has been delayed.
The Stockingfield Bridge was due to open in the autumn following a two-year closure for construction of the new active travel bridge. However, the planned opening has now been pushed back due to supply issues.
The bridge links the communities of Maryhill, Gilshochill and Ruchill whilst also providing a continuous active travel route from Loch Lomond in the west via Bowling Harbour on the Forth & Clyde Canal to Edinburgh via the Union Canal.

A section of the Forth and Clyde Canal towpath reopened in August after a £200,000 upgrade.
Providing an update on the development, Scottish Canals said: "The finishing touches and safety checks for Stockingfield Bridge are currently delayed due to a global supply issue with materials required to complete the Bridge.
"We’re hopeful this will be resolved within the next few weeks, and we can open the Bridge for everyone to enjoy. Please bear with us whilst we make these final improvements and do not pass through the barriers. We will let you know as soon as we have an official opening date."
