Glasgow Beyonce fans 'fuming' after megastar snubs city in Renaissance tour announcement

Beyoncé has announced a brand new world tour, with the pop icon set to perform across parts of Europe and the UK - including Edinburgh.

Announcing the news, the Single Ladies singer uploaded a picture on Instagram with the simple caption: "RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023." However, whilst she is set to perform in the capital, fans living in Glasgow are not happy that they need to travel across the the east coast to see the singing sensation later this year.

The superstar will play the BT Murrayfield Stadium on May 20, but the announcement has left Queen B fans in Glasgow a little disappointed and many were quick to take to social media to share their feelings.

Taking to Twitter one shared her frustration saying: "Beyoncé going to Edinburgh not Glasgow? Insane stuff."

Another tweeted: "Beyoncé announcing an Edinburgh date but none for Glasgow" followed by a sound clip of someone upset.

Meanwhile a third questioned: "Beyoncé not performing in Glasgow? Am I willing enough to go all the way to Edinburgh."

The 41-year-old released her seventh studio album, Renaissance, in July last year and it was another album that was yet again a hit with tracks such as BREAK MY SOUL and SUMMER RENAISSANCE.

And of course with any album dropping, the speculation around a tour soon follows, with fans hoping they'll visit their home turf.

The last time the CUFF IT singer performed in Glasgow was in Hampden Park in June 2018 as part of the 'On the Run II' tour alongside Jay-Z.
