One of the most exciting new bar openings in Glasgow, the Alchemist, is set to play Cupid this February with an exciting series of Tarot events designed to help those looking to predict what will happen in the future.
‘Tantrum and Tarot Thursdays’ will run every Thursday from 7 pm-10 pm this February, with tickets priced at £15, and will feature local mystic - George The Medium - be giving a series of tarot ‘speed readings’ on matters of the heart, while guests enjoy Alchemist cocktails.
"And in the spirit of the season," explained the team. "Each cocktail has its very own ‘special somebody’ in the form of a perfectly paired, limited edition doughnut courtesy of the city’s much-loved Tantrum Doughnuts."

They added that a cocktail has been designed for every type of person, with hoping for a hot and steamy outlook on love offered the Alchemist’s ‘Caramelised Jungle Bird’, paired with a roast banana glazed doughnut, topped with homemade Jamaican ginger cake chunks (vg).
While guests looking to get fruity can enjoy a Raspberry Ripple, which comes with a brioche doughnut filled with raspberry jam and vanilla custard, that’s rolled in rose sugar.
For those in search of a frothy love story, the ‘Big Baby Guinness’, which is served with a Guinness and milk chocolate pudding doughnut, finished with frosting and Guinness brownie pieces could be ideal.
"Whatever kind of love Glaswegians are looking for in 2023," added the team. "They’ll be sure to leave the session a little clearer – and at least have satisfied their sweet tooth."
Only ten readings are available per event, on February 2, 9, 16, and 23, with slots able to be booked via the Eventbrite website.
