A man was badly beaten on a Parkhead street and crashed into a parked motor as he tried to escape in his car.
Police are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage as they hunt for two suspects following the vicious attack on the 37-year-old in the city's east end.
The incident took place at around 6.30pm on Friday, February 24 where a man was reportedly attacked by two thugs in a 'serious assault' in Parkhead.
The incident took place in Sorby Street, near Westmuir Street and saw the injured victim get back into his car and driving off before colliding with a stationary vehicle - he was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and has since been released.

The attackers fled the scene and made off towards Tollcross Road.
The first suspect is white with a heavy build. He was wearing black clothing and black trainers.
The second suspect is white, with a slim build. He was wearing a grey and black hooded jacket with grey jogging trousers and a dark coloured snood across his face.
Detective Constable Sarah Steven said: “We don’t know the motive for this attack but we do believe the victim was the intended target.
"I would like to appeal to members of the public who were in the area at the time to get in touch with us. We are piecing together exactly what happened and any small piece of information could prove vital in our inquiry.
"I would also appeal to anyone with dash cam or other recording devices to check the footage as there may be images which could assist our investigation.”
