A man had to be rushed to hospital after being assaulted near Buchanan Bus station.
The 37-year-old victim was on Killermont Street around 11pm on Friday when a man jumped out of a car and attacked him.
He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police are now searching for the attacker who has been described as white, around 5 foot 7 inches tall, aged in his 20s, with short blonde hair. He was travelling in a silver vehicle that was last seen turning right onto West Nile Street from Killermont Street.
It's believed there were two other white males in the vehicle.
Police constable Kat Currie said: "A man has sustained a serious injury and it is imperative we trace whoever is responsible.
"I would urge anyone with information about this incident to contact police.
"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2149 of Monday, 3rd April, 2023. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
