Glasgow and Prestwick airport hand luggage rules as Government announce change to liquid rules

Major changes are happening at airports across the UK after the Government announced an overhaul.

From next year, airports are being told to install new security technology that will allow travellers to carry on more than 100ml liquids at large airports with other restrictions such as electrical equipment also being lifted.

At present, if you are heading on a plane, you need to place your liquids in a clear bag with a limit in place across Glasgow's major airports.

But what are these rules that are currently in place? here's what you need to know.
