Glasgow Airport was the worst in the UK for cancelled flights last year, according to a new report by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The figures show that an "unacceptable" 2.5 per cent of flights from the airport in 2022 were cancelled - by far the worst in the UK, with the second worst figures in London Heathrow at 1.7 per cent.
The CAA also revealed how well Glasgow Airport has bounced back from the pandemic, with passenger numbers rebounding to 74 per cent (6,516,029) compared to 2019 figures.

Glasgow also had the ninth busiest airport in the UK, while Edinburgh Airport was placed as the sixth busiest with 11,248,549 passengers in 2022.
Weather conditions, including snow and ice, were pointed to as one of the explanations behind the number of cancellations last year, particularly in December.
Anna Bowles, Head of Consumers at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said: "More than three times as many people flew into and from UK airports last year compared to 2021, demonstrating a clear wish by consumers to return to travel as Covid restrictions were lifted, and giving industry a well needed boost after a difficult few years.
“That bounce-back in passenger numbers was at times overshadowed by the challenges that the aviation sector faced in the early summer of 2022, which saw an unacceptable level of flight cancellations and delays.
“We expect to see increased resilience and continued improved performance by airlines in 2023, giving passengers the experience they expect and the confidence to continue to return to travel.”
A spokesman for Glasgow Airport said that airlines '"reluctantly" cancels flights due to factors "including poor weather, air traffic congestion, delayed arrivals or technical issues with aircraft and we will always work to support them".
