People using Glasgow Airport will pay more to park their car than for their return flight on a weekend break according to a new study.
Experts at leading UK automotive retailer Evans Halshaw analysed data for all UK airports to discover who is charging the most for parking - with some found to be charging triple the price of a return flight.
The data revealed that passengers using Glasgow Airport are paying £37.99 to park in the airport's short stay area for a weekend, which is more than the average price (£31.88) for a weekend break away return flight from Glasgow.

Stansted Airport was found to be the cheapest airport in the UK for flights, but passengers have to pay more than double the flight cost of an average £56.10 for short stay parking.
The figures come after Glasgow Live reported on the concerns being raised by airport users at the fact that the last airport bus to the city centre currently departs at 11pm - making it technically 'easier' to get home from Edinburgh Airport.
Political advisor Blair McDougall called the lack of transport options "an embarrassment" after he revealed tourists were left "stranded in the cold" for over an hour due to a shortage of taxis recently.
