Glasgow Airport issues currency update to help travellers save money

Glasgow Airport has issued a money-saving update to travellers to do with currency exchange.

The airport revealed that foreign exchange company Travelex has made its return. Exchange desks and ATMs are now "re-opening" throughout the airport.

This will come as welcome news to travellers looking to save as much money as possible, as the company offers currency exchange "with no commission". This means that no amount is deducted from the total cash received during the transaction.

Many currency exchange companies and services to take a commission, which means part of your money is taken by them. With people across Scotland looking to stretch their budgets as far as possible, small costs like this can add up.

Taking to Facebook, Glasgow Airport wrote: "Welcome back Travelex! The multiple currency exchange desks and ATMs throughout the airport are now re-opening.

"Pick up your travel spends before you fly with no commission! Don’t forget you can use their free click and collect service too."

Earlier this week, Glasgow Live reported that popular Glasgow Airport airline Loganair had launched a task force to tackle lost luggage. This is in response to travel disruption at major hub airports and partner airlines, with many travellers finding that their luggage has not travelled with them.
