Glasgow Airport issues advice to those travelling for the first time since covid

Glasgow Airport has issued advice to those who have not travelled or visited the airport in some time.

Following the scrapping of covid travel restrictions across the UK earlier this year, many Scots will be travelling internationally this summer for the first time since before the pandemic.

And with substantially increased foot traffic in the coming months, travellers will need to ensure that they are as prepared as possible in order to avoid a last-minute dash to catch their flight.

Taking to its official Facebook account, Glasgow Airport wrote: "Been a while since you've been to the airport? Here’s a quick and easy reminder of all you need to know!"

It divided its advice into three separate rules, the first of which is to "be on time".

The airport advised passengers to arrive neither too early or too late, and recommended they check with their airline for check in-times.

It also told passengers to "be organised", by making sure their passport and vaccination documents are ready, as well as ensuring their pack hand luggage is suitable for security restrictions.

Finally, Glasgow Airport warned travellers to "be patient" amid increased wait times over the summer season.

It stated that staff "are working very hard to keep passengers moving" and told holidaymakers to "be mindful towards other passengers and staff".
