Glasgow Airport: How to check if your flight is delayed amid easyJet and BA cancellations

Over the past few days British Airways (BA) and easyJet have both been cancelling hundreds of flights across the UK.

Both airlines have said that this is down to covid with many staff being forced to take time off due to their symptoms.

Many cancellations have been south of the border with Scotland remaining largely unaffected and you'll be glad to know that Glasgow does not seem to be impacted as much as the rest - although there have been some cancellations.

So with all the cancellations in the past week, it's only natural that holidaymakers are feeling anxious before they fly with many of them hoping that their flight will not be delayed.

So how can you check if your flight is on time, delayed or cancelled from Glasgow Airport?

If you, for example, head to easyJet's website, you'll only be able to see two days in advanced and waiting 48 hours before departure to have regular updates can be very stressful for some.

But there is a way you can see further ahead.

If you're flying from the city airport, you can simply head to their website and follow these steps:

  • Flight Info
  • Arriving Flights
  • Enter your flight number or destination

France are just one of the latest countries to have eased their travel rules so if you want to jet away to their capital, here's an example of what you'll see.

Glasgow Airport allows you to check further in advanced than the airline's website. (Glasgow airport.)

You now should be able to see five days ahead which is certainly better than two.

You can also head to the Glasgow Airport app and turn on alerts for your flight.

To this you can follow these steps:

  • Download the Glasgow Airport app on Google Play here or the App Store here
  • Click on Flight Info located at the top of the screen
  • If you're flying within 48 hours just scroll to find your flight
  • If you're flying out with that period, you'll have to wait until you're within that time frame to be able to receive notifications
  • When you do have your flight, simply click on it, confirm that it's your flight and it will show you which check-in desk you'll have to visit, which gate you will need to be at, who you're flying with and what time you're set to depart
