Glasgow £66k booze trailer theft latest as police make CCTV appeal to trace man

Detectives in Glasgow have issued CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their ongoing investigation into the theft of a trailer containing alcohol worth nearly £66,000 at the weekend.

The high-value theft took place at Mammoet Ferry Transport on 101 Cambuslang Road on Saturday, January 22, at 8.45pm.

Officers believe that the man shown in the images was in the area at the time may have information that will assist them with their enquiries.

They are asking him, or any members of the public who recognise him to make contact with the police.

He is described as white and in his 40s to 50s and was wearing a dark jacket under an orange hi-viz vest, black gloves and a striped beanie hat at the time the high-value theft took place.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow CID on 101 quoting reference number 1168 of Sunday, January, 23 Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
