Glamping pods have been revealed as Brits' top choice for accommodation when it comes to camping holidays.
After all, long gone are the days of battling elements in a flimsy tent - nowadays you can find cosy lodges and back-to-basic huts with some key features such as a proper bed and running hot water.
According to campsite bookings firm Pitchup.com, last year saw Brits opting for heaps of glamping accommodation when booking staycations - and camping pods were the top stays of choice.
To determine the most popular accommodation choices, the website's team looked at over one million bookings by Brits made last year, spanning 2,000 sites in the UK.
Camping pods proved the most popular option, closely followed by bell tents and shepherd's huts. (If the latter appeals, you may want to check out our guide to some of the UK's best remote shepherd hut stays ).
The good news is that while glamping can include luxurious stays, it's often still a budget-friendly option.

1. Moss Side Farm Campsite, Cumbria
This family-run farm site makes for an idyllic countryside escape. The working farm has animals from sheep to ponies and hens, not to mention it's surrounded by a woodland valley.
The Rail Camping Pods boast a double bed as well as bunk beds, a wood-burning stove, and access to common areas with showers, a freezer and barbecues.

2. Birchington Vale Holiday Park, Kent
This holiday site has everything you could want for a fun family holiday including an adventure playground, amusement arcade, clubhouse and a location near Margate and attractions such as Howletts Wild Animal Park.
Pods have all the basics you need including cosy beds and electricity. There are shared showers and toilets on site too.
How much? Prices from £68 a night - minimum two night stay - based on a family of four sharing a camping pod.
3. Resipole Farm Holiday Park, Acharacle
Located on the shores of Loch Sunart in the Scottish Highlands, this holiday park is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the outdoors thanks to being nestled between a working farm and woodland.
The pods themselves have all the basics you could need for a glamping stay, complete with a private outdoor deck for those summer days where you want to soak up some of the sunshine.
How much? Prices from £55 a night for a glamping pod based on two adults sharing.
4. Woodovis Park, Devon
The pods at this holiday park come with perks including a comfortable bed and a small private deck with furniture for al fresco breakfasts.
The site itself is right on the border of Devon/Cornwall in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, not to mention you can enjoy access to the on-site pool and spa, as well as a shop complete with freshly baked treats.
How much? Prices from £60 a night for a two-man camping pod, based on two adults sharing.
5. Whitemead Forest Park , Gloucestershire
Tucked away in the Forest of Dean, the Mega Pods at this site are peak glamping with each boasting beds, a private toilet and basin, and even a kitchen for whipping up some hearty meals.
For those who only want somewhere to rest their head, there are also eco-friendly camping pods with a double bed and bunk beds, with access to shared facilities.
How much? Prices from £70 a night - minimum four night stay - based on a family of four sharing a Mega Pod.
6. Chrisdee's Suffolk Pods, Suffolk
These camping pods can sleep up to four people in two double beds, and come with their own toilet, shower, kitchenette and patio/barbecue.
Other on-site facilities include an outdoor play area and an indoor games room (for those days when the British weather doesn't behave).
How much? Prices from £130 a night - minimum two night stay - based on a family of four sharing a camping pod.
