Glam Hamilton gran Laurie Meisak cried tears of joy after being named first runner-up at Miss Great Britain Classic.
The 60-year-old was overcome with emotion after coming in just behind the winner Nicoll Moss, 51, in the same day that her daughter Amy was crowned the new Miss GB 2022/23.
Gorgeous Laurie, who lost her dad to cancer in March of this year, was delighted with her title and will wear her Miss GB Classic finalist, a contest for over 45's, sash at pageant events and when supporting her daughter, over the next 12 months.
Laurie told Lanarkshire Live : “I’m going to have the best year ahead being first runner-up at Miss GB Classic as well as supporting Amy in everything she does as Miss GB.
“The whole experience was just epic.
“That was my fourth pageant and it was by far the most well organised event I have ever been a part of. It really was such a wonderful experience.
“I took to the stage at 60 years old in front of hundreds of people in my swimwear and I felt amazing.
“And I did so to show others of similar age that being 60 shouldn’t limit us at all.

“When I came off the stage the tears were absolutely streaming.
“I was so proud, but also I felt completely overwhelmed and was thinking about my dad and how proud he would have been of us both.
“I’m so grateful to Amy for letting me be part of this alongside her.”
Laurie will now undertake several fundraising events over the course of the next year in aid of a number of charities.
She will also support Amy in her Miss GB endeavours and wear her first runners-up sash with pride at glittering events across the UK.
