A Hollyoaks actress had a soap crossover as she stepped onto the Coronation Street cobbles on Monday night (November 7). Alexandra Maxwell made her Corrie debut playing a 'heartless' publisher as Fiz Stape pleaded with over John Stape's book.
Fiz has been distraught to discover that a book has been penned about her late husband serial killer John, and there's a chapter in the book about their twisted daughter Hope. Fiz, with solicitor Adam Barlow, met up with the publisher and she implored her to remove Hope’s name from the book.
The book details Hope's wicked acts, including setting fire to a trampline and the Underworld factory, smashing up Phill Whittaker's car and startng the fire in Tyrone Dobbs' and Alina Pop's flat, which led Alina to lose her baby. But Fiz insisted that these were just the actions of a troubled and confused child.

"Leave Hope's name out of it. Give her a chance of a future that's not in his shadow," she begged the impassive publisher, after at first being hopeful to discover she is also a mum.
Fans might have recognised Manchester-based actress Alexandra from the Chester-based soap Hollyoaks. Alexandra played Vanessa, a florist who Azim Desai hired for Sami Maalik and Sinead Shelby's wedding in November 2019.
Azim sent his cousin Yasmine Maalik to meet with Vanessa and the florist was unimpressed by Yazz's need to use a voice app to communicate as she had been left deafened in an explosion a few months earlier. Vanessa ended up complaining about how long communicating with Yazz was taking, sparking outrage over her being inconsiderate of Yazz's disability.
@Cinders12345678 commented about her Weatherfield character: "This publisher is heartless." And @HildaOgdenOnSea commented: "STONE-HEARTED PUBLISHER."
While other fans complained about the book storyline. @Rozzy67 asked: "Does anyone else feel that #Corrie storylines are becoming more and more unrealistic? This Hope being named in a tell all book is ridiculous & wouldn't be legal."
@rosemhill tweeted: "This 'evil journalist' obsession on #Corrie is getting out of control - in what world would ANYONE think they could publish a book on a killer's kid and not think of the legal, IPSO, etc implications... such a ridiculous storyline." And @chattymandan said: "There so disgusting publishing that book with stuff about a kid yeah she maybe a little demon but still she’s a kid and this book being published could really do damage to her."
But @AntMelia94 said: "I need them to release the book as #Corrie merch." And @PJDavies1962 tweeted: "I want that book, it's sounds great."
@scrivo35 commented: "I’m looking forward to the follow up books about Hillman and Phelan." @OliReading asked: "#Corrie what's the Amazon link to buy the book about Hope?" And @mitchdavies1996 said: "#corrie should release the John Stape book for the public to read."
Later there was more bad news for Fiz and partner Tyrone as her man stormed round to the hotel room where a Q&A session about the book was in full swing. When the journalist writer suggested to the audience that Fiz was complicit in her husband’s crimes, Tyrone saw red, climbed on the stage and slapped him round the face.
Fiz was told that Tyrone had been arrested for assaulting the journalist who wrote the book and she begged him not to press charges. The police let Tyrone go without charge but a fuming Fiz showed Tyronea video of him punching the journalist. She told him it had gone viral and as a result, they’ve brought the book launch date forward to the end of the week.
