Manchester City supporters raged after Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro went unpunished during the opening 45 minutes of their Champions League showdown. With a place in the rearranged Paris showpiece at stake the return leg began in a more tactical and subdued fashion.
City and Real went toe-to-toe at the Etihad Stadium in their last-four opener as Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva netted in a 4-3 thriller. Karim Benzema conjured up some eye-catching magic at the other end to keep the tie alive.
However, with such a grand prize at stake, the second leg start was more cagey and, in turn, the first-half talking points regarded referee Daniele Orsato. He booked City defender Aymeric Laporte for his part in an early clash with Luka Modric which also saw the Real playmaker cautioned.

According to City supporters, though, his teammate Casemiro is lucky to still be on the pitch upon the restart after finding himself on the receiving end of some quite lenient decisions. After first flying into a challenge on De Bruyne, the tenacious Brazilian did his best to swap shirts with City starlet Foden before full-time had sounded.
Both of those moments went unnoticed - or at least unpunished - by man in the middle Orsato. They were naturally picked up on social media, though, much to the dismay of those watching from afar.
The winner tonight will play Liverpool in Paris on Saturday, May 28 after they eased past plucky Spanish opponents Villarreal. Here are a selection of comments from City supporters about Casemiro as taken from Twitter;
