Nottingham Forest summer signing Giulian Biancone has promised to give his all to return to fitness as soon as possible after being ruled out for the season.
It was confirmed this week that the 22-year-old sustained a serious knee injury in training as Steve Cooper ’s squad prepared for the visit of Brentford today (Saturday). Subsequent scans confirmed that he is set for a long spell off the pitch as he rehabilitates.
Speaking in his pre-match press-conference, Cooper confirmed the news. "Unfortunately Giulian picked up a serious knee injury in training which will rule him out until the end of the season,” he said.

“It’s really difficult news for him, and a blow for us as well. I know he’s a player who hasn’t featured too much, but he’s a player who has been making good progress and who we really like.
“We’re gutted for him because it’s a serious injury. It’s a blow to the group as well.
“He did it a couple of days ago in training. When it happened we feared it was something serious, and the scans confirmed it.”
The full-back has struggled for game time this season since moving from French side Troyes in the summer. He has played a total of just 12 minutes in the Premier League over two appearances.
Biancone has now taken to social media to send a message to Forest fans, in which he promises to keep them updated on his progress. Alongside the message is a picture of him on crutches outside of the training ground.
“Start of a new adventure for me, as you know I have to get at 100% again,” he wrote on Instagram. “I will give my best to come back as soon as possible! I will keep you informed of my progress from the fitness centre where I will be taken care of...
“I would like to thank the whole club and the fans for the support, I hope to see you again very soon. Good luck to the team for this afternoon's game.”
