You've seen a front door with windows, and you've seen a black front door. But have you ever seen a black front door with six narrow horizontal windows striped up the length of the door interspersed with black? I never had, until I saw Gisele Bündchen's Florida home.
The model purchased her $9.1 million estate in Southwest Ranches, Florida in September 2023, and it's absolutely stunning. Though the house has many notable features, Bündchen's modern front door design is the most unique. Its multiple windows, splashes of matte black and long silver door pull are unlike anything I've ever seen, and I look at celebrity homes for a living. The front porch is built to frame the door, with slate flooring, green growing walls and large globular light fixtures. It's a celebration of the home's contemporary features.
The benefits of Bündchen's entryway design go beyond aesthetics. Brian Davenport, outdoor lighting expert at the Solar Centre, explains that upgrading your home's entrance is one of the best ways to boost mood. He states: 'The exterior of your home is what you see first and will affect how you feel when you first come home. It’s important to make sure it feels welcoming and relaxing, so making your doorway emulate this is key. If your front door is looking tired, giving it a clean and a fresh coat of paint can instantly make your home look cleaner and more pleasing to look at.'

The Gisele Bündchen Front Porch Edit
These striking, spherical lights look similar to the ones on Bündchen's front porch. I love the alternating sizes and how they look hanging next to one another.
These beautiful, high quality plants would look perfect on either side of the front door on a porch. They're striking and easy to care for.
This beige and black mat would be gorgeous on a front porch, on top of a slate surface. I love the straight black lines on the edges for a finished feel.
If you want to create a similar look at your home, it's just as much about the front porch decor as the design of the door itself. Davenport advises: 'A welcoming front door can be nicely complimented by a new doormat and a plant or two as well as some wall lights to light up your doorway in the dark mornings and evenings. Not only will this look beautiful, but it will also help you to feel at ease when you arrive home.' Especially if you want to emulate Bündchen without replacing your door, this is a great way to start.
