Girls Aloud to reunite for one-off special gig in memory of Sarah Harding

Girls Aloud are planning to reunite fundraising event in memory of Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle has revealed.

Sarah tragically died last year, aged just 39 - just a year being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Nadine alongside Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts are hoping to reunite again for a special one-off gig to raise money for medical equipment to help diagnose cancer sooner.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Nadine said: "We’re planning a night for an event to raise money in honour of Sarah.

"She’s very much in the forefront of our minds.

"We want to raise money for a piece of medical equipment that helps diagnose cancer earlier so people can be treated. We definitely want to do something to help others."

Nadine said that after Sarah became unwell, a lot of her energy became focused on her and that there were suddenly so many things happening that "were more important than anything else".

Explaining that Sarah's death has been "so devastating", Nadine said that it still affects the band "deeply, to think about everything that she went through".

However, Nadine admits it will be difficult for them all to rehearse and find a date that they are free as she, Cheryl and Kimberley are all mums.

Nadine - who is mum to daughter Anaiya - said: "Obviously, Cheryl has Bear and Kimberley has got her three little ones – Bobby, Cole and Nate – and we were planning on getting all of the babies together a while back but never got round to it."

Opening up about Anaiya - who she shares with ex-fiancé Jason Bell - she said that her daughter knows that she's different from other mums.

She quipped: "When she was younger, she thought all of her friends’ mums were famous and that all of them get stopped on the street for a photo!"
