Girls Aloud collab with Primark to raise funds for cancer charity in memory of Sarah Harding

Girls Aloud have announced they have collaborated with Primark to raise funds for cancer charity in memory of Sarah Harding.

The girl band have created a pyjama design where money will be donated to The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK.

The four women have joined forces with the fashion brand during Breast Cancer Awareness Month as they mark more than a year since Sarah died.

Cheryl posted snaps of the navy blue pyjamas and wrote: "Before Sarah passed away, we promised her we would fulfil her wish of raising money for vital research to help determine young women between the ages of 29 and 40 who could be at risk of breast cancer with no genetic history. These pyjamas with @primark will raise a significant amount of money to help us achieve our promise to her.

"The PJ’s will be in all UK and ROI Primark stores from tomorrow. ALL proceeds raised will be split equally between The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth."

Girls Aloud stars Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts posed in the snaps with their pyjamas which feature a full set design as well as a nightie version.

The blue pyjamas are designed with a while star pattern.

Sarah tragically passed away on September 5 last year aged just 39 after a year-long battle with breast cancer.

The four stars reunited earlier this year to honour Sarah, with the foursome taking part in a special Race for Life for Sarah 5k event.

The run took place in July and raised money for breast cancer research.

Cheryl, Nadine and Nicola ran at Hyde Park while Kimberley took part in the event remotely as she was out of London that weekend.

The singers wore matching pink t-shirts as they were joined by hundreds of fans for the run.

At the time of Sarah's death, a statement was posted on her Instagram page from her mum that read: "It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.

"Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.

"I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead. - Marie x"
