A heartbreaking tribute has been paid to one of the men who was killed on the M57 last week.
Tributes have poured in following the crash between a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a Seat car on Friday, February 3, at around 9.10pm which saw two men in their 20s die. Now, Jade Ince has published a touching tribute to Liam Ward who was killed in the crash.
She wrote: "Oh Liam. I can’t believe I'm even attempting to write this because then that means it might be true and I just can't accept the fact you might actually be gone.

"The first and only person I’ve ever loved, you will never know how much you mean to me and how much I appreciated our time spent together. I have never stopped loving you, everyone who knows me knows how much I love you and always have, I just hope you knew just how much too.
"I will forever be grateful for being loved by you, you were always moaning when I'd be waking you up from all them naps cause I was needy and missed you, but if only I could wake you from your eternal nap now. I love you so much Liam and you will forever be the love of my life, no one will ever compare. Forever 24."
In another tribute posted on her Facebook page, Jade said: "Oh my Liam. I can't begin to put into words how much my heart is hurting, feel like im just waiting for a phone call to say there's been a mistake because there's not a chance you can no longer be here.
"I can't and will never accept it. My life just doesn't make any sense without you in it, you really are my world and are literally all I've ever spoke about the last 3 years and that's never gonna change. I will love an miss you more than you will ever know, forever."
A third man, also in his 20s, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital from the scene. The driver of the HGV stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Andy Roper from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said following the crash on Saturday, February 4: "First and foremost our thoughts are with the families of the two men who tragically died and the third man seriously injured following last night’s collision. An investigation is underway which is in the very early stages.
"We are trying to establish the circumstances that led up to the collision and would ask anyone who was on the M57 between j6 and j7 around 9pm last night who saw anything significant or thinks they captured something on their dashcam to contact us. Investigative work will remain ongoing on the M57 for a considerable period of time and motorists are advised to avoid the area. We would like to thank people for their patience as this matter is dealt with."
