Waking up to find that your car has been stolen is pretty much a nightmare situation. However, with the help of one clever gadget, a girl in Birmingham was able to track down her stolen car.
TikTok user zoepettitx has gone viral on the app after she took viewers to come and “steal” her car back.

The video, which has over 2.5m views, shows that thanks to Zoe’s car hack of leaving an Apple AirTag in her Ford Fiesta, she was able to see her car appear on maps in “some dodgy area in Birmingham.”
If you’re not familiar with the gizmo, an AirTag is a tracking device designed to act as a key finder, which helps people find personal objects.
In a series of images, Zoe revealed she realised at 9am one morning her car had been stolen. She quickly checked her tracking device at 9.05am which revealed her car was someplace else in Birmingham.
By 12.45pm Zoe decided to take action. Her two friends swung by to pick her up and Zoe said “we’ve seen enough crime docs, let’s get it back ourselves.”
After driving around hunting down the vehicle, at 2.30pm Zoe and the girls found the car and rang the police, declaring the case cracked five minutes later.
Three hours later, after a police escort, Zoe was delighted to be back in her car which she and her friends celebrated with a cheeky McDonald’s.
Zoe admits her motor “sustained a few injuries” but is now back safe where it belongs.
Viewers went mad over Zoe’s ordeal calling it “truly incredible content.”
There will probably be a spike in AirTag sales as many are taking Zoe up on her clever hack with some viewers commenting “note to self - buy an AirTag and leave in my car.”
KelseyCraceling comments “honestly never even wanted an AirTag before but you’ve sold it to me! This should be an advert.”
Another user Chloe said “putting an AirTag in your car is genius” while another user said the detective girl gang group “is extremely iconic.”
