Newly uncovered medical records for a woman who thinks she could be Madeleine McCann allegedly reveal that she suffered a skull fracture when she was a child.
Julia Wandelt - who also goes by the surnames Wandelt and Faustyna - has been making headlines around the world after saying she thinks she could be Madeleine, who disappeared in May 2007 in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz.
The 21-year-old from Poland claims to have a freckle on her leg and a speck in her eye in the same places as the British girl, as well as looking similar to parents Kate and Gerry.

She started an Instagram profile, that quickly amassed over a million followers before being deactivated, which consisted of dozens of posts she thought acted as proof.
Julia is currently living in a ‘safe house’ in California with private investigator Dr Fia Johansson, who is looking into her claim.
Fia has worked with US police on missing persons cases in the past and has been helping Julia take DNA tests and access medical records.
She claims to have obtained almost 500 pages of medical records from a hospital in Poland, which allegedly show that Julia suffered a skull fracture that “left her unable to speak or walk for more than a year” when she was eight years old.
Speaking to RadarOnline, Fia said she is now attempting to find out who took Julia to the hospital where she underwent “emergency surgery to reduce brain swelling”.
She claims the hospital records show Julia entered the hospital in “a near-comatose state” in February 2009, adding: “Julia does not remember any of it.”
Last month, Fia confirmed that Julia has taken a series of DNA and blood tests. The pair are currently awaiting the results, which will confirm or deny Julia's suspicions.
Madeleine was four years old when she disappeared from a holiday apartment while on holiday in Praia da Luz in Portugal in 2007.
Julia says she is 21 but believes her age could be wrong. Madeleine was born in May 2003, meaning that she would now be 19.
Mystery has surrounded the search for Madeleine in recent years but no trace of her has ever been found.
The parents of Madeleine, Kate and Gerry, have yet to comment on the recent updates of the saga.
