Girl claiming to be Madeleine McCann 'finally has a family' after mystery trip

A young Polish woman, who has went viral worldwide recently after claiming to be missing British child Madeleine McCann, has said she "finally has a family who cares".

Julie Wendell has been flown to the United States by spokesperson and psychic medium Fia Johansson last week, reports the Irish Mirror. The 21-year-old is currently living in a safehouse in the US.

Dr Johannsson has claimed that the 21-year-old, who is at the centre of a media storm, has been receiving countless death threats - and even suggested that one troll put a bounty on her head.

The young woman gained over a million followers on social media, after she posted "evidence" to claim she was the missing Madeleine. Madeleine McCann vanished in 2007 aged just three, during a family holiday to Portugal.

Dr Johansson, a self-professed medium and private detective, is currently investigating Julia's claims, and is the one currently looking after the young adult.

And on Tuesday, the doctor told Julia's followers that she feels like now is "the first time she has a family that cares".

Fia wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Julia: "She said this is the first time she feels she has a family that cares. My kids and my dogs love her angelic personality."

The medium had shared photos previously of Julia on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Universal Studio, and said that 21-year-old thinks people in the US are "lovely and welcoming".

She previously said Julia's mum and dad are refusing to take a DNA test. Julia's family in Poland have denied her claims, and have reportedly blocked her phone number.

Dr Johansson and her team have been in Wroclaw - the city Julia supposedly grew up in - where she said they found no hospital records for Julia relating to the first five years of her life.

The private detective and medium is confident that Julia is not the person her family is claiming she is.

She told RadarOnline: "We are still conducting an investigation but Julia is definitely not the biological daughter of her parents in Poland.

"We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland from another country by an international sex trafficking group."
