A 15-year-old girl and her dog were rescued from the rocks at New Brighton waterfront.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Fort Perch Rock at 7.39pm on Saturday (August 20) after receiving reports that a girl and her dog had got stuck on a groyne near New Brighton Lighthouse. Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service attended the scene and were assisted by the RNLI.
A spokesperson from the fire service told the ECHO that the girl and her dog were rescued from the groyne and were brought safely back to shore. No injuries were reported.

Emergency services remained at the scene after 8.20pm but a Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO that the incident had been resolved.
