Girl, 15, arrested after Tube passenger punched in face in central London

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested after a passenger was punched in the face on board a Tube in central London.

The victim was on a train travelling from Canada Water to Green Park shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, April 3, when two girls and a man boarded the service together.

“One of the girls started an unprovoked altercation with the victim before punching her in the face,” said a British Transport Police spokesperson on Wednesday.

The man and two girls left the service, which is understood to have been a Jubilee Line Tube, at Green Park Underground Station in Piccadilly.

The victim, whose age has not been confirmed, suffered from double vision and bruising to her face in the attack.

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested and released under investigation, police said as they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
