Girl, 12, in hospital after crash outside Nottinghamshire school

A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after a crash outside a Nottinghamshire school. Nottinghamshire Police was called to reports of a collision involving a girl and a vehicle outside the Joseph Whitaker School in Rainworth.

It happened at around 3.20pm on Thursday, September 1, with the girl being left with injuries as a result. Inspector Keiron Hancock, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police were called to reports of a collision involving a 12-year-old girl and a vehicle outside Joseph Whitaker School, Rainworth, at around 3.20pm today (Thursday 1 September).

"The girl has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. Drivers are urged to avoid travelling through this area while investigations take place."

Police are also appealing for anyone with any information about the collision to call police on 101, quoting incident number 377 of September 1.
