Giovanni van Bronckhorst sends heartfelt social media message to Rangers fans after Europa League final loss

Giovanni van Bronckhorst sends heartfelt social media message to Rangers fans after Europa League final loss

GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST has thanked the Rangers fans for their support in Seville after Wednesday's Europa League final loss to Frankfurt.

Nearly 20,000 Ibrox fans were inside the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in Seville to cheer on their team, but unfortunately for the support, defeat struck via the way of a penalty shootout.

Rangers now head to Hampden on Saturday for the Scottish Cup final and Van Bronckhorst took to social media to rally the troops.

He wrote: "Thank you to every supporter who travelled to Seville from across the world.

"Since I arrived, you have followed us near and far, you have carried us and kept us going, especially in difficult moments.

"We now move onto the Scottish Cup final, another challenge and a chance for silverware.

"Safe journey home and see you at Hampden on Saturday-loud and proud."
