Giovanni van Bronckhorst fumes at Rangers capitulation as boss fires blunt warning to wasteful stars

Bristling Giovanni van Bronckhorst demanded his Rangers stars "do better" all over the pitch after a dramatic collapse allowed Motherwell to salvage a draw at Ibrox.

The Premiership champions tossed away a two-goal half-time lead and with it the opportunity to close within a point of leaders Celtic.

A dominant Rangers raced into a commanding early lead thanks to Alfredo Morelos and Fashion Sakala but second-half strikes from Jordan Roberts and Kaiyne Woolery dragged the gutsy Steelmen to an unlikely share of the spoils.

As in last week's setback against Dundee United, Van Bronckhorst's side missed a number of chances to bury the game and he confessed it's not good enough for their title ambitions.

He told Rangers TV: "We need to do better. We need to be better in finishing, creating chances and making goals out of those chances.

"Especially today again, it cost us some important points.

"We have to be more solid in the back to avoid the goal against you and we didn't do that today.

"I think it's the first time we've lost two goals in the league at home in a couple of months.

"But we have to go back to being ruthless defensively and also ruthless in finishing the chances."
