Giovanni van Bronckhorst has not been properly supported as Rangers manager and needs time to turn things around, according to former centre-back Graham Roberts.
The Dutchman alleviated some pressure around his position with a 4-1 win over Aberdeen at the weekend but the dial was turned up again on Tuesday with a 3-1 defeat to Ajax. It means they end their Champions League Group A campaign with a total of zero points and their two goals scored with 22 netted against means they go down as the worst team to have ever competed in the competition.
For the former defender though, a run of injuries and losing stalwart Connor Goldson to injury was never going to be easy for Rangers to cope with. But with just three games to go now until the break, Van Bronckhorst needs to at least then, although some support would be welcome Roberts told talkSPORT: "To be honest, he's had a lot of injuries, losing [Connor] Goldson against Liverpool has left him with youngsters at the back.

"When the pressure is on and you play in Glasgow it's a cup final every game - its totally different from any other place.
"I think you have got to give him until the break now, for two or three more games. "The club has to back him, they haven't backed him."
Next up for the Light Blues is a trip to Perth and St Johnstone, before finishing ip for the World Cup break with games against Hearts and St Mirren away.
