GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST insists referee Willie Collum blundered by sending off John Lundstram as Rangers dropped two Premiership points against Hibernian.
And the Ibrox boss will reassess the red card shown to Alfredo Morelos after a day that saw Collum court controversy in the Capital and Lee Johnson's side leave it late to secure a draw.
Goals from James Tavernier and Tom Lawrence were ultimately not enough to clinch the victory for Rangers as two second half dismissals cost them dear at Easter Road.
Van Bronckhorst believed Collum made the right call as defender Rocky Bushiri was penalised for a shirt pull on Antonio Colak before Tavernier slotted home from the spot.
Lundstram saw red for a professional foul on Martin Boyle before Morelos was dismissed minutes later after clashing with Marijan Cabraya and catching him with his arm.
Van Bronckhorst said: "It was a game where a lot of things happened. It was a very physical game and after the two red cards we were fighting to get the win.
"It was always going to be difficult, we almost succeeded in getting the three points. In injury time they fell in the right position and could score the equaliser.
"It cost us with nine men a lot of energy to prevent them scoring and we worked hard to deny them the goal. In the end we came up short.
"As I said, it was a physical game. First half I saw some tackles with a lot of passion and the ref decides the decision whether it is a red card or a yellow card.
"I think John was harsh to get the red card. I think it was a foul but I think he didn’t have any intention to hit him hard so I was surprised he gave the red card. We have to look into it in this one.
"Second half, with the physicality they have, it is always going to be fighting duals, especially with the long balls, and they are very physically strong as well.
"Second red card, I haven’t seen it back. We have to clearly see what happened there.
"After the two decisions we were with nine men so for us, especially when we had the ball, very difficult for us to keep the ball and we were trying to avoid the goal against us."
