Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has broken his silence on his romance with Ashley Roberts, saying it is “early days”.
The Italian dancer, who reached the final with Faye Tozer last year, was rumoured to be dating Roberts after they met on the show but both denied any relationship during the contest.
However, the two were spotted on holiday in Florida over Christmas, with Pernice finally addressing the loved-up snaps on Monday’s Lorraine.
When quizzed by the Scottish host, he said: “We have yes [been on holiday]. We spent time together, yes.”
Kelly said that she hopes the relationship goes well, to which Pernice replied: “Thank you.”
The pair were joined in Florida by fellow Strictly stars Aljaz Skorjanec and his wife Janette Manrara, who has family there.
Skorjanec said: “It was beautiful. It’s always lovely to be in Florida for Christmas and the New Year.
“It’s bit weird because Santa usually comes on a sleigh rather than a surfboard.”
This comments are the first time Pernice has spoken out about his relationship with Roberts, even though he did hint that things were heating up last month.
“She is beautiful, absolutely, but there is no chance that we're going to be in a relationship right now,” he told new!.
“Never say never but I’m not thinking about being in a relationship with anybody. I fancy everybody. I’m not in a relationship with Ashley at all at the moment.”
