Giovanni Fletcher caught up with friend Rosie Ramsey for a bite to eat at one of Newcastle's 'hidden' gems on Monday, before taking to the stage in thriller Wish You Were Dead.
Giovanna, who became a real national treasure when she won I'm A Celebrity back in 2020, becoming the show's first ever Queen of the Castle, is one of the stars of the new stage adaptation of the Peter James thriller. The productions of the famous crime writer's chilling tales have become quite the draw at the Theatre Royal over the last few years, with the likes of EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt and ex Love Island host Laura Whitmore treading the boards in them.
And now it's Giovanna who is stepping into the spotlight on Grey Street, alongside Casualty favourites Clive Mantel and George Rainsford, in the story of a relaxing trip that turns into the holiday from hell.

Wish You Were Dead will be particular interest to fans of ITV drama Grace, which returns for a third run on Sunday, as DS Roy Grace is the central character, with Giovanna playing his wife Cleo.
Before she stepped onto the stage with her co-stars, Giovanna took the chance to reunite with close friend, South Shields star and podcast icon Rosie Ramsey, with the pair heading for food at Fuego, the highly rated Italian haunt that plenty of locals and visitors to Newcastle don't know about, giving that it is nestled away inside Fenwick department store.
Both ladies shared a photo of their catch up on Instagram, with Rosie captioning it: "Bloody gorgeous lunch date with an even gorgeousser (blates not a word) lady!!" Echoing those sentiments, Giovanna wrote: "In Newcastle and managed to grab dinner and a hug with this total BEAUTY of a human"
Fuego has become quite the favourite with celebrities, with the likes of Vicky Pattison and Kieran Trippier and wife Charlotte also dining there.
*Wish You Were Dead is at the Theatre Royal until Saturday, March 18, with 7.30pm performances nightly at matinees on Thursday and Saturday.
ChronicleLive caught up with Giovanna last week and, while she didn't want to give too much away about the many twists and turns that Wish You Were Dead's plot brings, she did reveal that 'no show is ever the same' and admitted that things get so intense in the show, that she likes to give her co-stars a hug at the end of very show to separate the sinister stage goings on with real life!
She also told us that waiting to go on stage is scarier than any Bushtucker Trial on I'm A Celebrity, and said she wouldn't mind Ant and Dec cheering her on from the wings!
