Giovanna Fletcher and her pop star husband Tom have shared their romantic weekend with fans as they opened up about ‘reconnecting’ during some rare time away from their three children.
The 37-year-old former I’m A Celeb winner and her 36-year-old McFly frontman husband have been married since 2012 and together they share sons Buzz, seven, Buddy, six, and Max, three.
The proud parents left the kids with the grandparents and escaped to the sand dunes of Camber Sands in East Sussex for a weekend together.
And taking to social media they effectively took their 4 million combined followers along for the fun – with plenty of sun-soaked photos of them enjoying their time together.
Uploading a collection of snaps to her main feed, Giovanna gushed over her chance to spend some quality time alone with Tom.
She wrote: “We checked in so we could check out! Two days of being Tom and Gi and reconnecting over wine, food and playing games - turns out noughts and crosses is the funniest game in existence!
“Huuuuge shout out to the staff at @thegallivant who made our stay so enjoyable.
“Last night we were invited to try some English wines, but we said we were off out to see the sunset. Next thing we know they’re packing us a bag of wine, glasses and blankets. A beautiful and thoughtful touch.
“Now heading home to see what our munchkins have been getting up to with Nana and Ewad.”
Photos showed the couple raising their glasses of wine while sat amid the sand dunes of the famous beach – where Ricky Gervais filmed scenes of his hit Netflix show, After Life.
There were snaps of the pair wrapped up in warm coats and hats as they enjoyed walks along the sandy shore.
While Giovanna shared a single photo of Tom nursing a glass of wine in a further post, writing: “Love lit by sunlight!"
She went on to add: “(might be slightly pissed).”
Tom similarly took to social media to share a string of snaps of them both enjoying their stay.
He wrote: “Photo dump. Away with @mrsgifletcher and no kids for a couple of nights.”
Among his collection of photos, Tom showed himself and his wife enjoying a game of chess while knocking back drinks, a snap of themselves enjoying whipped cream topped drinks in the sunshine, and snaps of them sipping M&S cocktails in cans during a beach stroll.
OK! have shared even more details of the couple’s romantic stay, reporting: “[Tom and Giovanna stayed at] The Gallivant with the couple opting to stay in the Luxury Garden room which boasts a super king bed, private decking and a roll top bath in the bedroom.
“The gorgeous room has prices starting from £619 per night for a weekday in March with the hotel also having a number of classes including yoga, wine tasting and pastry skills.”
