Giorgos Giakoumakis climbed off the bench to score a stunning goal as he continues his return from injury.
The former Celtic striker netted his sixth MLS goal of the season in superb fashion as he latched onto a long ball and superbly chest controlled the pass before lobbing the ball over the advancing keeper. It was Atlanta United's fourth goal of the contest in the final minutes to bring an end to a poor run of losing results against Colorado Rapids.
Ex- Rangers and Hearts defender Danny Wilson lined up for the opposition but was brought off during the contest with three minutes left on the clock. It was a big moment for Giakoumakis who had earlier in the campaign scored in four consecutive games before suffering a muscle injury that ruled him out for a number of matches. But he's back and fit and amongst the goals once again.

He said: "Hello 17s. Big thank you and I know we've had a long time since we won the last game.
"This is for you. This is how we bounce back.
"We love your support and need you always, every single game. It doesn't matter if it is Wednesday or Saturday or Sunday. We need you there. We can't do it without you."
