Bullish John Hartson insists there is nothing wrong with Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis ' comments on the title race if he believes them - but he urged him to swerve social media after a furious reaction online.

Hartson told The Go Radio Football Show: “Well, he’ll learn. I'm not sure if he's got a Twitter account or not (laughs).

Hartson laughed: "No, he's obviously showing great confidence. He's on a high after scoring his first hat-trick for the club. He's made a big difference, coming in and being a focal point.

"He's stuck in there and the manager really likes him. You can see he's a confident boy with his comments.
"There's nothing wrong with saying that if you think it. Sometimes you can maybe wait until the deal is done before you go out on a limb and say things.
"That's where I've gone wrong in the past."
