Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst believes Rangers only have themselves to blame as they face an uphill fight to catch Celtic in the race for the title.
But he remains convinced Aaron Ramsey has a mammoth role to play in the coming weeks despite the Juventus loanee remaining an unused substitute in defeat to Braga.
The Europa League quarter final return leg remains crucial but there is domestic business to take care of this weekend.
Rangers turn their attention to St Mirren and could be nine points behind Ange Postecoglou's side by the time they kick off in Paisley.
And the Dutchman admits there is no wiggle room left if they have any hope of retaining the title they romped to last season by 25 points.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "We need to be (perfect), now we switch back to domestic league. we have to keep the pressure on, of course the result last week didn't help us in achieving that but we have to keep going also there are games coming up as I said in April when you feel the pressure you are playing for major prizes but still in the end you don't have anything yet so we have to keep going.
"Of course your games against your direct opponent for the title is always big games. but you know, all the other games you have to win the three points again as well and I think in most of the games we lost points, I think we did that unnecessary, but still, you have to do everything to get the win. we dropped too many points before and the direct confrontations with Celtic the last two we lost as well. that's a lot of points we haven't won.
"Still you want to win everything. to switch your focus on the league, the travelling, all the games we'll be playing now. it's like so many factors that can influence your performance. we need to be fresh and we need to go again as a team and get the result and that's three points".
And van Bronckhorst insists Ramsey's no-show against Braga doesn't mean the Welshman isn't a key man amid a jam-packed fixture list.
And he is backing the former Arsenal star to play a key role in the coming weeks.
He added: "He's had a difficult period, he's playing more games lately for us and also for Wales.
"I'm really happy that Aaron is back and available. of course we know his qualities. we have a lot of midfield players available now and this is the first game out of two and next week's going to be starting Sunday with St Mirren, then of course with the second game of this tie and the cup semi final it's a busy period. of course, the qualities of Aaron we can use.
"We know his quality. you see what's needed for games and you also have to do your game management and look also a little bit ahead. that's what we're doing right now. Aaron will for sure have his game time."
Alfredo Morelos' absence has been keenly felt in recent games but the manager insists it's on him as much as anyone to fill the sizeable void left be El Bufalo.
He said: "Of course it's difficult for us that we lose Morelos for a long time and obviously the quality and the goals that he brings that he's shown in recent years. but we have to adapt as well. us as a team, me as a coach. we will try everything to make sure we keep creating chances but in the end score goals.
"The pressure is always there. you want to have pressure in April because it means you play for success and that's what we are doing now. It's normal that you feel the pressure and we have to direct that pressure into good performances. that's what we have to do for the next coming games."
