Gio van Bronckhorst reveals Rangers bus bedlam as they're met with 'we love you Celtic' chants

Gio van Bronckhorst has slammed the pre-match scenes that greeted the Rangers team bus in Eindhoven as the worst he’s seen in football.

The Daily Record report that their bus pulled up in front of the Philips Stadion and was caught in a throng of PSV Eindhoven supporters letting off flares.

The Gers squad were forced to wait for 15 minutes as supporters surrounded the bus, chanting “We love you Celtic, we do”, delaying the visitor’s entry into the ground after one of their buses had just left.

The Ibrox boss also revealed that they had requested a delay to kick-off. However, this was denied and the match started at 8pm UK time as scheduled.

Van Bronckhorst admitted that the delay has cut down the preparation time required for his players as they gear up for their biggest game of the season, with a place in the Champions League group stage at stake.

But the Dutchman insists that his men are ready to face the challenge.

“It’s the worst I’ve ever seen as a player or a manager,” van Bronckhorst told BT Sport. “You’d expect from a club as big as PSV, they'd have the organisation right.

"We had to wait 15 minutes in front of the stadium and one bus just left, so we were 20 minutes delayed for the second bus. It’s not the reception you expect.

“Our preparation is shorter. We asked to delay the kick-off a little bit but they didn't approve our request. But we’ll be ready mentally to go into this game with fighting spirit.
