Gio van Bronckhorst addresses Rangers attacking woes as he confesses 'we have to' get over missing Alfredo Morelos

Giovanni van Bronckhorst reckons Rangers will have to use their "other qualities" while Alfredo Morelos remains out.

The Colombian's absence was felt again against Braga as Abel Ruiz' first-half goal earned a narrow first leg victory.

Fashion Sakala was preferred to Kemar Roofe from the start in Portugal but struggled to make his mark on the game.

It again brought the absence of the Rangers talisman into focus, but Van Bronckhorst insists the team will have to get used to it.

When asked if he felt the squad could cope without Morelos, who won't return until next season, he said: "Yes, well, we have to.

"We know that he is out for the remainder of the season. You have to do it another way. We have a big squad, with maybe other qualities than Morelos. We have to go with the squad we have now.

Aaron Ramsey remained on the bench having been dropped from the starting line-up that face Celtic.

Van Bronckhorst said the Welshman was fit for the game, stating: "Yes he was fit.

"The midfielders, they did well, we had the substitutions with Joe coming on with Ryan on a yellow as well. I thought the subs went really good but you know there are more games to play so we will use the full squad."

On the clash, the Dutchman felt his side could have taken at least a draw back to Ibrox.

He added: "We conceded one goal, and we tried to push for the 1-1 in the second half. I think the last 20 minutes we got more control.

"It's a side who goes into transition really quick and on the ball we should have tried more to break some lines.

"Sometimes we had to have a bit more patience on the ball and I think we did that in the second half."
