Gino D'Acampo made an awkward gaffe on Family Fortunes on Saturday involving his former colleague Phillip Schofield.
The celebrity chef, 46, has worked with Phil, 61, for years on This Morning before the presenter announced he'd quit the show on the weekend.
Family Fortunes aired on Saturday evening, after Phil's bombshell news, but in a bit of a blunder Gino asked the contestants who they would expect to appear on the ITV daytime show - sending fans into a frenzy.
The top answer given was Holly Willoughby - before a player won a spot prize for guessing Phillip.
The unfortunate moment sent Twitter into meltdown, with one viewer quipping: "Who would you expect to see on This Morning? Top answer Holly Willoughby Then Phillip Schofield. Tonight’s Family Fortunes. Oh dear. Guess it’s not live then."
While another mused: "I wonder if Phillip Schofield is watching Family Fortunes right now?"
Phillip called time on the 'job he loves' after a reported feud with Wylde Moon guru Holly.
The pair were said to have fallen out after Holly was 'kept in the dark' about Phil's brother's trial, made worse, sources say by the presenter's impromptu statement about his friendship with the mum-of-three.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Phil wrote: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
“So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month.”
A number of runners and riders have been tipped to replace Phil on This Morning, notably Alison Hammond.
She impressed viewers when she stood in for Phil during Timothy Schofield's trial and is said to have great chemistry with Holly.
Meanwhile, Dermot O'Leary is said to be the bookies' favourite to bag the gig and will be presenting the show with Alison today.
Other contenders to take over presenting duties include The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes and her husband, JLS star Marvin Humes, as well as familiar This Morning regulars, Rylan Clark, Josie Gibson - and Gino D'Acampo...
