Gimme him: 1 player Commanders would steal from Dolphins

The Washington Commanders (4-8) look to snap a three-game skid on Sunday when the Miami Dolphins (8-3) come to FedEx Field.

It’s a difficult matchup for the Commanders, as their struggling defense looks to stop Miami’s record-setting offense. Head coach Ron Rivera will serve as the defensive play-caller for the remainder of the season after firing defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.

This leads us to a fun hypothetical exercise where we get to “steal” one player from the upcoming opponent. The Dolphins have an excellent roster with several players who could be significant upgrades for Washington. But Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill is a rare game-changing talent. If you have the chance to acquire a player like that, you do what’s necessary to make that move.

Yes, Washington has excellent wide receivers in Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel, but none of the three possesses Hill’s unique traits. Every time Hill touches the ball, he’s a threat to score. He can beat you deep, catch a short pass and take it to the house. Why wouldn’t you want a player like this on offense?

And can you imagine a group of wideouts featuring Hill, McLaurin, Dotson and Samuel?

The Dolphins have a good roster, but if you asked anyone which player they would take if they had a chance, most would agree that Hill is the guy.
