Gigs in Scotland: Glasgow events you won't want to miss and how to get tickets

There is a lot happening over the next year - especially when it comes to gigs.

Lewis Capaldi is just one of the latest acts to have announced a concert with fans begging for more dates however the singer has confirmed this won’t be happening.

Posting a screenshot from his notes app, it read: “Hello thought I’d also just say before these go on sale that there won’t be any extra dates for any cities.

“I really wish I could but I’m just one small chubby human who has to try to get to see as many of you all over the world as possible.”

Another act also set to take centre stage is Michael Bublé who will be coming to the city in April as part of his 2023 tour with an extra date released due to high demand.

So who else is coming to out city and how can you nab tickets? Here's five gigs you may want to attend.

1. TRNSMT

When: July 7 to 9

We of course have to kick off this list with TRNSMT. The huge festival will return to Glasgow Green next summer with organisers confirming a list of big-hitting headliners.

Britpop legends Pulp will be one of the acts taking to the main stage after frontman Jarvis Cocker confirmed earlier this year that the band would reunite for a handful of shows in 2023.

The 1975, Sam Fender, George Ezra, Kasabian, Niall Horan and The Kooks will also perform at the Glasgow Green festival next summer as well.

Other performers included in the line-up so far are Aitch, Inhaler, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Royal Blood, Becky Hill, Maisie Peters, Ashnikko, Brooke Combe and Jamie Webster.

You can purchase tickets here which will all be available soon.

2. Westlife - The Wild Dreams Tour

When: November 19 and 20

The popular Irish boy band will be coming to Glasgow's Ovo Hydro for two nights this November as part of their 2022 UK arena ‘The Wild Dreams’ tour.

The band will once again hit the road next year, following their record-breaking 2019 reunion tour which saw Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian play to over 600,000 fans across 27 countries.
