Cardiff City's clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground was one of the very few high points of this miserable season.
Not only because the Bluebirds came from a goal down to beat them in the east Midlands, but because it saw Rubin Colwill really announce himself as a first-team player.
He had played bit-parts up until then, but the 19-year-old proved a match-winner that day back in September with a second-half brace that downed Forest on their own patch.
The rise of the youngsters was one of the main plot lines at the beginning of the season, but after the novelty wore off, and Cardiff slid alarmingly down the table, it became clear there was far too much onus on these Championship rookies to shine.
Colwill, though, looked the most likely to stand up to the rigours of such a demanding league.
After being selected for Wales' squad for the Euros, the playmaker returned to the Welsh capital with a new-found confidence and with the backing of the Bluebirds faithful.
It quickly became obvious that, with no Harry Wilson, Lee Tomlin or even Jonny Williams, Colwill was the only player in the squad who had the tools to unlock opposition defences. He showed flashes of promise and excitement, but consistency alluded him.

Goals against Stoke City in that remarkable 3-3 comeback and in the win over Luton Town represented progress and the promise of a chance to grab a starring role in this team.
But he has made just three cameo appearances off the bench in the last four matches. His inconsistency and a tendency to drift in and out of games were the reasons behind taking him out of the limelight. There are 12 players who have featured more then him this season in terms of minutes played.
Over the last week he was omitted from the squad which was defeated by Bristol City at Ashton Gate and ended up back where he was a year ago, playing for the under-23s in the 1-1 mini-South Wales derby draw.
While before this month Colwill had a free run at that playmaker spot in the side, he now has added and fierce competition.
Tommy Doyle has been brought in from Manchester City and if his solitary showing against the Robins is anything to go by, it will take some shifting to get him out of the team.
Cardiff don't typically play with wingers, and that isn't Colwill's position anyway, meaning he now has to scrap for his spot in the side for the coming months. It's the biggest fight he has had since Mick McCarthy brought him into the first-team fray.
Cardiff hope added competition and time out of the starting line-up will stir some fire within him to really kick on over the next few months. Bluebirds fans want to see that as well, of course.
But the prospect of facing Forest, the team against whom he really threw his name into all the headlines, will doubtless prompt a reaction from the Wales international.
He has bags of potential, there are few who dispute that. In fact, he is arguably the player with the highest ceiling from this crop of youngsters sprouting through.
But Cardiff want more from him and they need more from him as they hurtle towards the business end of the campaign. Perhaps another fruitful day against Forest can be the catalyst for him once again.
